Stop Taylor Walker getting the ball, man up on Shenton and Rowe goes a long way to beating Norwood, tough game but this team has won tough games this year. Another totally commited 4 quarter effort can reverse the result from our last effort against this lot.

Norwood at their best, is when they are full of confidence.
Reckon we've got them at a good time; Their loss last week may create some doubt in their mindset; Their skills according to all reports against the Eagles were abysmal, so in this form they are vulnerable.
It will all start in the midfield; We need to continue our four quarter efforts.
I guess the only concern for me is our lack of height in defence; But the guys down back have battled manfully all year....credit to them.
Reckon we're a real chance!

Walker a real problem for us with Mckernan out through injury. Just hope its a bit wet and we can clog things up a bit for him. It will be a tough one for us to get the points but I'm confident if we bring 4 qtrs of tough accountable footy we can win.
Go Panthers!! Wink

Thinking outside the square I would consider putting Cook onto Walker and make him tag him and scrag at him at every opportunity. Walker is busting for a chance to get back into the Crows side - as is Cook, if Cook stands on Walker, its fairly obvious what Cook needs to do to push his case for re-selection.

I like your thinking BenW but ther's a big size difference, I would like'd to have seen McKernan on him. That said perhaps Murphy is a good choice particularly if he runs off Walker and exposes his defensive weaknesses.
A 4 qtr effort like previous weeks and we've got a great chance, they won't underestimate us.
Next 2 games will go a long way to building our confidence and earning valuable respect.

Here is a cut and paste of BP's stats,

LEAGUE:

Final Scores

Norwood - 17.11 = 113

Panthers - 9.11 = 65

Norwood - B.Dawe 4.0, M.Davis 2.3, C.Shenton 2.2, S.Bown 2.0, S.Rowe 1.1, T.Webber, D.Pfieffer, J.Gallagher 1.0, D.Reinbrecht, N.Eagleton 0.2, Rushed 0.1

Panthers - M.Wundke 3.5, N.Daniel 2.1, D.Bass, L.Carey 1.1, N.Murphy, J.Cross, S.Richman, P.Rolfe 0.1

FINAL STATS WINNERS:

Norwood - K.McGuinness 32, J.Allen 27, S.Bown 23, B.Dawe 23, D.Pfieffer 23, T.Jonas 20, J.Bode 18, T.Walker 17, N.Eagleton 15

Panthers - N.Liddle 29, T.Stribling 27, J.Cross 26, N.Daniel 20, N.Murphy 18, M.Wundke 15, M.Sandery 13, M.Cook 12

Interesting to have a look at the stats BP provided, if Cook keeps up with those performances I would suggest he will be cut from the AFC at the end of the Season, Walker had a quite one, yet still did enough, Stribling and Daniel yet again show why they were recruited by the club.

You can't win footy games kicking over your team mates heads or dropping uncontested marks.
Kicking in hope doesn't work either. Once the 'legs got in front our guys kept falling over the bundles they dropped earlier.

Ordinary today. Next week will tell us whether we had flat week after good month or Norwood are just that much better than us.
Our half forward line was treated with contempt. Mcguiness and Bown slaughtered us. Over 50 possessions between them. Bown kicked 2 from chb. Our chf had little impact.
Massive game this week. How nice to beat bays and take fourth spot.

Nowood are the best team in the comp and we improved in our performance against them, not all that long ago Norwood were wooden spooners, they slowly rebuilt their team and are now set for a premiership. I see South going along the same path, our improvement is on track heading in the same direction, the players can learn plenty from playing against the best. Iám impressed when our side although being beaten by a better side on the day never chuck in thr towel, they never gave up and for that well done, shows a lot of pride exists in this group.
