Interesting indeed.

Really struggled in 2010, but with a decent midfield..who knows?

Good luck to him, but can't see him playing any meaningful role there. Hopefully he plays a few more games that the last two blokes we sold to Norwood - Jack Kennedy-Hunt and Jordan Johns!

With all of Norwoods classy junior players especially in their ressies this appears at odds to promoting and developing their youth. So Ben and Neil, hoover up The Parade and see how many of their now disillusioned talent we can sign up!
Always find it annoying that players who announce their retirement turn up at other SANFL clubs.

I always wondered if Dugga retired or was 'retireD'...

Bloody top bloke Ben, wish him all the best, although his 2010 season was definately lacking from his best form...

i wish Ben all the best, a really top fellow. Cant really understand Norwood signing a 30 yo though, puzzling decision really.

I wonder if Norwood will have to pay a clearance fee from South Adelaide??

I wouldn't think so? If the guy has retired then he becomes fair game wouldn't you think? I dont know for fact, just kinda makes sense to me.
Anyone see him at a game this year as a punter?

If Norwood kick to him on the chest he may cause some trouble....if not.... no stress.

Bizzare decision by Norwood.

Nice fellow...but dont wish him the best as we need to kick his butt in games now. He is the enemy.

We need to beat Norwood in 2012!!! Very Happy

Wish him all the best except against us. Top guy but think club is far better off off with Wundke and Ainger around the goals. Club got it right and perhaps Ben did too by retiring as he may have had to arrive earlier for games. Will watch with interest.

Very disapointing that he didnt come back through our club, yet if his heart is not in it for the SAFC jumper I would very much prefer that he does make that decision and plays elsewhere. I would think that Norwood would have to pay a transfer fee for him.

Pretty sure Langhorne Creek won the flag this year!

Not sure if we would have a place for him now TBH Ben. Other than possibly in the 2's. Reading his interview in todays paper, it sounds like it was his decision to retire from the club. I think it mentioned a transfer had been negotiated. Best of luck to the guy (although I'd love to see Crabby give him a bath!).

True Choaty, I am pretty sure Michael Hanby went to North Adelaide with all the best intentions and I don't think he managed even one game for the club, Hanby was a bloody good player in his day though and I did think he would make the most of that opportunity, even Eagleton seemed to struggle for Norwood, so perhaps coming back into the SANFL is not the easiest trick in town!
