Yes most important game agaisnt the Blues this week. Its a must win, one we would have pencilled in before the start of the year. They will be chock full of confidence after beating Port, but if we go about it the right way and bring the same desperate approach we had in the last quarter v North, we should get the points.
Hope its a great game, but like Prowler I too will be absent.

Just wondered are people not going due to religious reasons??

I respect everyone's right to go or not .... Just wondered if that was the reason as I know 2 of my sturt mates that are not going due to Good Friday.

I'll be there anyway ... Got to stick it up all my sturt arrogant mates ( especially my brother in law!!!)

Can't make this one either (3rd week in a row :s) due to family commitment. Dont have many so I'd better go!

No radio coverage either which is annoying.

I'll be there with bells on! For those who won't be attending for various reasons don't forget to check my website over the weekend for shots of the action from both senior games.

Years ago a number of people involved with the Baptist Church in SA were attached to the Sturt FC, not sure if that is still the case or not? John Halbert and Jim Derrington were two that come to mind.

Mine is a religous reason, I am a rock chopper, Good Friday is a special day. I was rostered on to cook the BBQ, what a temptation for me not to eat meat on Good Friday or serve it to others.

I too will be absent due to family commitments, but would love to be there!
This will be a very difficult game and we will need to improve again on last weekends performance
Sturt had 6 Adelaide listed players against Port magpies so that in itself makes the test even harder. Sure it doesnt mean they are all gun players but they are all pretty handy!
Four quaters of solid footy required and no second half fade outs or we are doomed.
GO PANTHERS!!

Looks a pretty good side. Both Miller and McNamara have shown they are capable of holding their places if given a crack at it.

I am putting this game down as a WIN for us.

No.

Reverted to the old short pass in the fwd 50 when a shot at goal was the better option. Especially in the third qtr when we also passed straight to Sturt players 4 times.

Tambling and the Umps were the deciders. Especially the in the back call which resulted in Sturts 14th goal. Both players involved landed on their sides.

The 25 metres we copped in the 1st qtr. when the sturt player with the ball ran between a South player and the guy he was chasing, was a bad blue by the ump. Cost us a goal.

Man I HATE hearing other teams songs played at our oval. Twisted Evil

Gutted by this loss. P74 I think you are right. We are not as good as people think. Still a fair bit of improvement required. Our home record is very poor. I still think we are headed in the right direction but I expect us to be 5th or 6th at best this year with another 7-10 wins which will be frustrating. Still need more depth in the club and some players need more experience which will hopefully come with more games. I just don't think we are good enough yet, happy to be proved wrong but we should win at home if we are serious finals contenders. :-(

Id have to agree with P74 and UKPanther remember we were only 3 games of fininshing bottom last year, im sure all the other teams have improved. Like every one i think we are headed in the right direction, we are a team that we need every thing to go right for us to win. Look at to nights game we miss easy goals they take it staight up there end and score goals we could have easily been up at 3quater time not 3 goals down honastly id be happy if we make the finals on current form
