Decent looking Port team on paper with the likes of Butcher, Harder, Salopek in.

Our defense a concern. Hopefully a high scoring shoot out like last time, with the same result.

South $1.82 favs with the bookies. Not sure what to make of that.

Disgusting effort really. Scoreboard was flattering. Hard to find a positive from the day.

What can you write up after that crap performance was served up today ??

We as supporters deserve better than watching that .

Plenty of players did not even want to be out on the ground today ... Some very disinterested players !! Worrying signs!!

What a huge let down Sad

What is going on down there?
Current form, we're the worst team in the comp.
After recent performances, we expect the club & players to respond next week.

We said this last week..and the week before..and the week before that.

It's getting tired.

I actually got so tired of saying it week after week, ive learnt to say it in a number of different languages over the years, has been a very common saying from south supporters

Gutted - woke up to see that score. Looks like we were completely outplayed. I'm struggling to understand it. It seems we have good quality on paper but we seem to have lost confidence or something. I'm at a loss. Season is basically over now and if it isn't now a loss next week would be mothballs. Not sure what to make of it all :-(

I have thought about it a bit over the past few weeks, including our Foxtel cup win, we are 5 league standard players short in our team.

Nothing much can be done about it at this stage player wise, unless those coming back from injury and the bottom 5 improve their performances a bottom 3 position look almost certain.

Trying not to remember watching that weak effort, I hate losing there to that mob. Evil or Very Mad
After all these years I should be used to losing and playing other teams into form but yesterdays effort was gut wrenching. 4 losses in a row aren't we better than that !??* Perhaps not.
I even lowered my expectations this year thinking that perhaps last year we were lucky to get into the finals but it was good experience and that we might finish 10 wins and 10 losses and just miss out but still have improved.
If we get outbodied in the middle we can't clear the ball and are stuffed our backline cannot handle it and our forwards have to come down to ground to help out.
We are lacking confidence as a team - sure we have some very good players but lack leadership IMO and apart from a few we lack an agressive attack on the ball.
We could finish bottom unless we find some real team spirit

Would be nice if there were some real pressure from our Reserves listed players on our League listed players to get a game.

Its my opinion that the Standard of the SAFC Reserves has well and truly gone down the toilet after the club voted to get rid of the U/17 and U/19 sides for the VFL endorsed U/18 system. We lose good players hand over fist to Suburban footy where they earn good money to play. Having the lads under the junior coaching at least kept them within the club striving for a crack at the leage list.

Until our Reserves team come up and start winning some games also, then our list is going to remain thin and subject to the current problems when players are injured.

That said I think its also fair to say that our recruiting this year has been substandard to previous years. Several recruits who most of us thought were likely to be pretty good have turned out to need a lot more work to be brought up to SANFL level.

I hope the club are having a good look at some of the players cut from Sturt in recent weeks, we have nothing to lose in giving at least Fittock some time in the magoos to prove himself and help to bring the pressure up accordingly.
