Will we reignite the Eagles season once again? or can we fire ourselves up and get something out of the remaining matches?.

I really hope we can rise from the crap second half against the bays!
I am pretty well over stating the bleeding obvious in our horrid second half displays this season.
Its time for some other players besides Liddle, Cross, Stribling, Otten, Rolfe and Ainger to lift their output!

Much better 4 quarter effort. Liked the games of Taylor, Otten, Rolfe and O'Shea.

Eagles were pretty ordinary. Lacked any real intensity for most of the day.

A "real" bye coming up next week before a couple of home games. Obviously need to start winning at home to be any chance of finals.

"Grit" is exactly what they played with today. Veide and Taylor were outstanding. Every player pulled his weight. Much better all round team effort. Well done lads.

Great win, first at Oval Ave since 2005. Pretty sure all players made good contributions, especially our second tier players who really needed to stand up. The mid field got enough of it to give Aing, Rolfey and Wundke a good look at it. I thought Ottens soundly defeated Grocke, who has been our nemesis on so many previous occasions, and the rest of the defenders in Redigolo, Veide, Crabb and Crate were very good also..
A great win and now a weeks spell, followed by 2 very important and winnable games against North and Sturt. They are must wins . Twisted Evil

Good to see Redigolo, Veide and Crabb do well in defense and pleasing to see Nick Murphy have a better game. Our forward line looks so much more dangerous with Peter Rolfe hunting the loose ball and roving packs.

Most pleasing thing I saw was the resilience they players and coaching staff displayed - in games this season we have been challenged and fallen away but yesterday they continued in the style that won us the lead to start with. Perhaps the tied score line at half time tricked them into thinking it was the start of the game again and we "started" well in the third term? LOL Very Happy

What a great team effort with some important contributions from lesser lights that perhaps we can build some confidence from. Really pleased to see that after a disappointing loss to the bays. I heard that Uncle Ron had given the boys a home truth verbal during the week, well it certainly worked.
Most pleasing was our attitude in the last half focussed and working hard together without giving up.
Window of opportunity is still open - its now time to win some games at home.

Great win.

Daniel, Watson, Pfeiffer, Taylor....have not been seen much this year but definately made an impact!! Keep it up guys!!

Cross was outstanding. Rolfe looked dangerous all game.

Otten killed Grocke. Redigolo 's game was really pleasing and thought he held up the backlines well. Good to see Crabby back..love his kicks out of full back.

Good to see Wundke with 4 goals come back and make a statement this week.

Reality is ....we need now to win these next 2 games at home (North and Sturt) Totally crucial to our season.

I wonder if we need a "head" doctor to make the guys believe that they can win at home!!

A most pleasing weekend Smile
