Not a bad effort there, good to see the club is being active and as stated more to come after the draft!

Plenty to like about this lot, John McDonald is a real talent, Shannon and Roland could really develop under our coaching panel and welcome young Brede Seccull. All similar body types and midfielers with talent now for some larger body size players especially down back. The club has been excellent in all their appointments looking forward to 2013 already!

Interesting mix of recruits there, as Darley says, J Mcdonald has some real talent, the issue is getting it out of the lad, I suspect that he is another lad for whom a change of club is probably a good way to make a new start under a different coaching programe, I suspect he will be a project player initially, although hope to be proven wrong. Achee is a talented lad who simply cannot crack the league side at Norwood and there are always plenty in that category at the best sides, he played a number of games last season but was not picked in the Grand Final side. Snook I am not sure why Glenelg would get rid of him, is a good player who seems to do well in the SANFL and can kick a goal or two in a match, I wonder if there is some other reason Glenelg do not want him or if he quit the club or whatever? Seccull I know little of except for the blurb on the internet which sounds pretty good, hopefully he comes across and uses his opportunity well.

For me its sad to see Jacob Crate leave , hes played all through the grades for the club ,probally close to being a regular league player now hes gone ,where our problem in our club is we need local players to stand up to give our coach depth in players and talent

Jacob & Xavier both good lads but not quite good enough performers in 2012. Jacob was probably struggling after such a long absence - and not convinced he overcame his injuries. Xavier was a quality fringe player - skilled, good kick but sometimes made poor decisions. Good luck to both in the future. I think Jacob could take on a junior coaching / mentoring role at some stage.

On SA Footy, South Adelaide have lost GWS recruit Ben Casley to Williamstown....

http://www.williamstownfc.com.au/events ... d=1&id=333

Losing another potential key position recruit, bigger body & height.....another deficiency for the club to address

Great job so far with midfield recruits, but waiting to hear if any key postions players have been signed.

Ben was handy , but did not really make the grade. Best wishes to him - but not a premiership concern!

Agreed P64 but I will feel better when we have a couple of tall key spine players to boost our stocks.

Me too. Why is it the club never seem to think about these things until us forum guru's point it out?

I hope we are still going to pick up another couple of key players! We got two in seccull and achee who it seems will be league ready but to be honest I think that is it thus far.
McNamara and thewlis will be like virtual recruits since they played very little footy last season.

Good to have those boys back and playing. Especially Thewlis and McNamara. But is that it. Hartigan and Shaw will be handy but think we will need more than that. Since we haven't heard anything by now assume recruiting is done. Anyone know any different?

The coach mentioned at the AGM that we are still in negotiations with a couple of recruits, following the AFL drafts.

I see on one of the other forums Tim Boyd has been told he's no longer required by the Bulldogs.
