Brett Eddy - DOB: 26/08/89, H: 193cm, W: 93kg
A talented key forward who made a huge impression in his first season at Collingwood. He led the goal kicking with 21 goals in only eight games, prompting whispers that his name had cropped up on several AFL recruiters' radars around the country. His year came to a halt in round 13 against Sandringham when he injured his knee in the second quarter and missed the rest of the season. Is expected to make a welcome return in the early rounds of 2012 where the high marking forward will be hoping to find the form that turned heads last year.
Recruited from De La Salle/Sandringham

Finley’s Jordan Taylor rounded out the top three in the Best and Fairest, finishing in third place with a total of 24 votes. Like Martyn, Taylor played with the Bushrangers as a 17 year old in 2011, playing 12 games. Following an injury interrupted pre-season in 2012, Taylor polled in 5 of his 9 games in 2012, and captained the NSW ACT Rams at the NAB AFL Under 18 National Championships. Taylor averaged 22 disposals per game in the TAC Cup this year, and featured amongst the leading rebounding defenders with 29 for the year. Taylor also won the Coaches Award for 2012.

Labrador young gun, Tom Fields finished second in last night’s polling for the 2012 NEAFL NAB Rising Star Award

Fields who has held down the Center Half Back Position for the Tigers this season was a certain contender going into the count held last night at the Legends Room at the GABBA.

Whilst disappointed not to win the award, Tom’s strong result will consolidate his presence on the reports of the AFL recruiters heading into 2013.

All at Labrador are very proud of Tom’s success this year and we look forward to following his career either with us or hopefully at the next level either in 2013 or future seasons.

I believe Fields is the son of former Essendon and Victorian State player Neville Fields.

Line up starting to look good, bit more depth also perhaps, lets hope they all settle in well and play to their potential.
Uncle Ron & his men should get the best out of them. Looking forward to winning games at home and recording wins in the close games.

Seems like we picked some youngsters with some promise.
They seem like players that want to improve their football and maybe get to the highest level.
The proof will be in the pudding I suppose.

Joseph Burgoyne, Ky just told me he is still training. Don't think he will make the League side however

Chris is studying a medical degree of some sort at uni, so study and football may not be mixing well.
