I'll try saying that again..."they are on the web-site Prowler, both league and reserves teams and both sides look strong, hopefully no injuries...please" That's better, silly Darley16!

Teams look good. A few players (Crabb, Murphy) being rested.
Player auction dinner after trial match should be good fun.

Great to see Fields and Hourigan have good games. Both are going to be vital to our spine this year and need them both to have big seasons!!!

Also liking seeing Irra getting a go in the seniors hopefully Gotch can bring the best out of him and if so look out comp!!!!!

Can't wait for Rolfe to return also :-)

Tom fields big plus is his ripper kick! He will be a big improver for us this season. Only trials so can't get over the top but as we have not played our best team as of yet I'm feeling quietly confident we can deliver some good results this year. Where that will place us on the ladder come seasons end is hard to gauge yet. Big test against the crows this Friday night. Let's hope we can gear up for the season with a good hit out!! Bring it on!!!!

Certainly encouraging, but will hold my fire at the moment - pretty sure it was about this time 12 months ago we were all jumping up and down locking in top 3 predictions. March is always a great month for Panther fans - here's hoping April and May and beyond are as well.

I don't think our home record is any worse that our away record? I don't care where the wins happen, so long as there are enough to make the finals - I assume that is minimum pass rate list given the list we have largely retained, and added to, from last year?

Thanks guys - any stat nerds that can advise our winning percentage at home v our winning percentage away over last 5 or 10 years?

I'm a stats nerd ;)These figures may not be 100% accurate:

2013- Home 3-7, away 3-7
2012- Home 2-8, away 5-5
2011- Home 4-1-5, away 4-6, footy park 1-1
2010- home 1-1-8, away 1-9
2009- home 2-7, away 0-10, encounter bay 0-1

Total- home 12-2-35, away 13-37

The last time we had a 'winning' record at home was in 2006, when we often kicked a cricket score at Noarlunga.  Shocked

Thanks for the info Saintal, and welcome Jopan. Everyone has the same thoughts in mind.
This time last year we won trial games and Uncle Ron said this was the squad he wanted. In the preceding 2 years we snuck into the finals 2011 then started to perform better away from home in 2012. So we all got our hopes up only to be disappointed.
While trying to keep a lid on it, there are plenty of signs for optimism when you can see the boys and coaching staff all on the same page.

Whatever the stats are they won't be good reading for either home or away! The only note worthy stat would be our reasonable record against the bays at gliderol stadium over the last five or six years.

It's all good, but i can't believe we paid out the previous coach more than he initially requested, rightly he referred the clubs abstinence to a lawyer and hey presto we pay some $40k more!.....allegedly . How does this happen, who is responsible, we as members will never be told but surely for a club battling with debt someone must be held to account for such a massive blunder...allegedly.

'Allegedly" is a pretty negative place to start throwing mud from. I'd prefer to know the "Facts"

Not throwing mud Bluecat, one must be cautious on all social media commentary therefore "allegedly' use. I am a supporter of our club and it's management and board however the "alleged" payout is of concern.

All I can say fellas is thankfully last season and " everything with it" is over! I would not have a clue about the ins and outs of payouts to coaches, but I suppose that's the business of the club to sort out . As members we trust they get it right.
