Well, I wasn't expecting that.

South kicked the opening 3 goals inside 7 minutes and it felt as though a blow out could be on the cards. The Bays stayed in the contest, but Cross' goal at the 4 minute mark of the 3rd gave South its biggest lead of the day- 28 points.

From there it was 6.4 to 0.2. The Bays started winning the stoppages and South didn't work hard enough to generate any run/space. Unacceptable second half from South.

Seccull again was our best, love his attack on the footy. Rose and Brown were also ok. Liddle and Cross combined for 19 touches...

Umps were fine for 3 quarters but couldn't put the whistle away in the final term.

Two points squandered, yet another *^&*ing bye coming up.

On a more positive note good to see the U18s spank Westies and move into 6th spot. 3.5 wins for the year and a much more competitive season overall so far.

Spot on assessment Saintal.
When Crossy slotted our 9th for a game high 28points, I think we may have got ahead of ourselves & left the door slightly ajar...you can't do that in this comp.
Glenelg to their credit lifted their work rate & gained the ascendancy & we failed to respond.
2-4 shows we are vulnerable away from home.
Any loss is bitter, but against Glenelg & in a winning position, hurt just that much more.
And yes it is pleasing to see our other grades improving in their performance, showing bright signs for our zone development.
