I was only thinking of Jim Saturday. As I was looking at the "Greatest team" on the wall of Jimmy Deans and tucking into a "Jimmy's Grill".

The impact of his loss on the culture of the club, means there is going to be a hole big enough to hide Ayers Rock. Sad

Very sad day for the club, he was the pinnacle of the SAFC and its a sad thing we have never done justice to his legend on the field. He was one of the true great's of the SAFC and will be very sadly missed. Condolences to all the family and friends of the great man.

I have noticed that. Odd given the club paid its respects in Advertiser the other day.

Jimmy Deane

The South Adelaide FC community is deeply saddened by the loss of a true Panther Legend in Jimmy Deane. “Gentleman Jim” was a player, captain, coach, 6 x Best & Fairest, Hall of Famer and Life Member of the SAFC. He also won 2 x Magarey Medals, and was awarded All-Australian 4 times. The thoughts of the entire Club are with the Deane family.
