with my work schedule friday night games would benefit me more, ill still go to saturday night matches but have to keep the drinking to a minimum. I know a couple of people who support other sanfl clubs who are keen to attend night games at noarlunga wheather their team is playing or not because they reakon we have the best vibe at our home games with the oval parking and such, and being played at night....well it wont get any better than that, cant wait for these fixtures

Pesonally, I think 6 games is a bit much for the 1st year.

I hope it works with the crowds by round 6.

I guess we will see how it goes...I just hope we win them all!!!

I hope they schedule Saturday night matches for us and we play Centrals twice in the first 6 night games.

What could be better than parking around the oval on a Saturday night watching the footy, sorta like being at the drive-in all those years ago, pure bliss.

And I'll be able to burn the snags on the BBQ and no one will notice.

In brief:

Sunday April 3 - WWT v South
Saturday April 9 - South v North (N)
Saturday April 16 - Central v South
Thursday April 21 - South v Port (N)
Sunday May 1 - BYE
Saturday May 7 - West v South
Saturday May 14 - South v Sturt (N)
Saturday May 21 - South v Central (N)
Saturday May 28 - Port v South
Saturday June 4 - South v Glenelg (N)
Monday June 13 - BYE
Saturday June 18 - Norwood v South
Saturday June 25 - South v WWT
Saturday July 2 - Port v South
Sunday July 10 - South v Central
Saturday July 16 - Sturt v South
Sunday July 24 - South v Norwood
Saturday July 30 - Glenelg v South
Sunday August 14 - BYE
Saturday August 20 - South v West
Saturday August 27 - South v WWT (N)
Saturday Sept 3 - North v South
Saturday Sept 10 - Norwood v South

Central x 3, North x 2, WWT x 3, Port x 3, West x 2, Sturt x 2, Glenelg x 2, Norwood x 3, BYE x 3

An odd stat, but we play the 2010 top 3 sides 3 times... still, I guess it sets a benchmark.
6 night games incl the Thursday before Easter - YEAH!
Great to see Adelaide Oval games scheduled too - although not for us.

Very unusual draw, we play NA in round 2 and round 22.

CD in round 3 and round 8

PA in round 4 and round 9 then again in round 14

At least we dont get the Bye in round 23, although I do think that who ever finishes bottom gets the Bye in the last round, incentive to get up the ladder.

At least we haven't copped a 11:15am footy park game like Sturt have Rolling Eyes

Eagles will be a good test first up. We tend to start the season well, and with the Fuller factor should make for a good contest.

Hopefully we can arrest our recent poor form v North and have a win under lights. I'm sure we all remember what happened the first day that cars were allowed at Noarlunga..hopefully a similiar sort of result with the lights!

For where we finished and the crowds that we have I think we got a pretty reasonable go from the SANFL this time around in terms of our draw, - hate to admit it but there you go!

Think the lights are a necessary next step for the club. I am often rostered on over the weekends, so night footy is usually my only option for the SANFL and its usually watching other sides play because we draw few night matches. I do think that if we can tap into the numbers of people that participate in or watch the SFL / GSFL on Saturday afternoons we will achieve a double result of a, getting the numbers in, yet b, getting more people from the area connected with the club. Will be interesting to see how it goes, Always the optimist, I am hoping that we can get a record attendance for the first match with the right promotion!

Says Time TBC - lights trial run would be nice if they're up and running by then?
